Main Waste solutions are fully committed to reducing the amount of waste deposited at Landfill Sites. We work in partnership with a number of charity groups who are able to accept all suitable items of domestic furniture, office furniture, clothing etc.

Timber is re-manufactured into industrial products for use within the building trade or chipped for use in landscaping.

Metals are melted down and reused time and time again. Aluminium is usually recycled into drinks cans and packaging. Recycled steel has a much broader spectrum of consumables and may end up in anything from paper clips to bicycles.

Paper goes through a pulping machine which removes things that cannot be recycled such as staples and bindings. The pulp is then de-inked, whereby the ink is floated off the paper, the pulp is pressed ready for reuse in anything from newspapers to animal bedding.
